Hinglish ("the app") is a Hindi–English learning and translation app published by CyroSim. This policy explains what information the app does and does not handle. In short: Hinglish does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
We do not collect, store on our servers, or share any personal information. The app has no user accounts and requires no sign-in.
Your learning progress (levels completed, daily streaks, review schedule, and settings) is stored only locally on your device. It is never uploaded and is removed if you uninstall the app or clear its data.
To let you practise speaking, the app uses your device's built-in speech recognizer to turn your spoken answer into text. Audio is processed by the Android system speech service on your device; Hinglish does not record, store, or transmit your audio. The microphone is used only while you actively tap the speak button.
The app uses your device's text-to-speech engine to read out answers. No data is sent to us in this process.
The built-in translator converts your English text to Hindi entirely on your device using Google's ML Kit on-device translation. The first time you use it, the app downloads a Hindi language model over the internet; after that, translation works offline. Your text is processed locally and is not sent to us or to any third party.
If you turn on reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device to nudge you to practise. No notification data leaves your device.
The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. It does not use an advertising ID.
It does send anonymous, non-identifying product-usage events to our own first-party collector
at https://cryosim.com/assets/analytics/collect — for example: the app was opened,
a screen was viewed, a practice session was started, how many cards were in it. This tells us
which parts of the app are actually used so we can improve them. You can turn them off at any
time: open More › App and switch off Share anonymous usage data
— it takes effect straight away, with no restart, and nothing further is sent.
What is never sent: no lesson or phrase text, no word you searched for, no answer you gave, no speech or recording, no name, email or phone number. Events carry only fixed event names, counts, and a random identifier the app generates on your device — not your Android ID and not an advertising ID. Clearing the app’s data resets it. No IP address or cookie is stored.
Everything else about the app remains offline: the lessons themselves work without a network connection, and this event stream is the only routine data the app sends.
The app is intended for users aged 13 and above. It does not knowingly collect any data from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
