CryoSim ("the app") is a web-browser app published by CryoSim that displays the CryoSim website (cryosim.com) and web pages you open. This policy explains what information the app does and does not handle.
Signing in is optional — you can browse cryosim.com and use most of its apps without an account. If you choose to sign in, the app opens your phone's web browser at cryosim.com, where you sign in with your Google account (Google Sign-In is the only sign-in method), and then brings you back to the app signed in. From Google we receive your name, email address, Google account ID and the link to your Google profile picture. We store these in your CryoSim account and use them only to sign you in and manage your account. We never see your Google password.
When you are signed in, the CryoSim apps you use on cryosim.com store the content you create in them on CryoSim servers, linked to your account — for example DayFlow tasks and notes, SIRE Pro projects you choose to sync, boards, slides and quizzes, files you upload, and portfolios you enter in Stox — together with any optional details you choose to give us (such as rank and vessel name on your account page, or a phone number you enter in a quote request or payment form). This content is used only to provide those features to you. We do not sell it, share it with third parties, or use it for advertising. The app does not gather your browsing history for us.
Standard web-browsing data (such as cookies and cached pages for the sites you visit) is stored only locally on your device by the system WebView so pages load and work correctly. Your app settings are also stored locally. This data stays on your device and is removed if you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
Because it is a browser, the app connects to the internet to load the web pages you open. It does not access your microphone, camera, contacts, or location unless a page you visit requests it and you grant that permission.
The app itself contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not use an advertising ID. Individual websites you open may have their own policies. Once a day, the first time you open the app, it sends CryoSim a once-a-day ‘app opened’ signal with a random install ID (no personal data): the app name and version, the date and your time zone. The install ID is created by the app itself, is not your device ID or linked to your account, and is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data. We use these signals only to count active installs, and our server does not store your IP address.
You can delete your CryoSim account at any time at cryosim.com/account (sign in, then use Delete Account); this permanently removes your account profile (name, email address and Google account ID) and the data linked to it on our servers — including the content you saved in CryoSim apps on cryosim.com (DayFlow tasks and notes, SIRE Pro projects, boards, slides, quizzes, uploaded files and Stox portfolios). Records of payments, if any, are kept only as tax and accounting law requires, without your name or email address. Details: cryosim.com privacy policy. You can also email admin@cryosim.com to ask us to delete your account. You can delete content you created inside each app at any time.
The app is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect any data from children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date.
