4Common questions

Do I need to know Hindi?

No. Every phrase has a plain-English meaning. Turn Show Hindi off to see only English and its meaning.

Where is the 90-day programme on the website?

The programme, the speaking check, the day checks and review are in the Android app. The website has the 24 spoken-English topics with audio and Practise 5.

Can I do more than one day at a time?

No. One new day opens each calendar day, so the phrases have time to stick. Meanwhile you can practise any day you have passed, or take the Daily Challenge.

The app did not hear me. What can I do?

Speak close to the mic. You can also add offline speech in the Google app: Settings › Voice › Offline speech recognition.

Why did a phrase I already did come back?

That is Review. Phrases you knew come back after a few days so you do not forget them; phrases you tapped ↻ Again come back today.

Does it work without internet?

The app’s lessons and audio work offline; only the speaking check may need the internet. The website needs a connection to load.

When does a new day start for my goal and streak?

At midnight on your phone’s clock.
