How to play Griddo

Drag one of the three pieces from the tray onto the 8×8 board.
Fill a whole row or column and it clears.
When all three pieces are used you get three new ones.
The game ends when none of the pieces left in the tray fits anywhere.

Scoring

+1 point for every block you place.
A clear scores 10 × lines² × combo — at ×1, two lines at once is worth 40 and three is 90.
Clear on back-to-back moves and the combo multiplier climbs, up to ×5. A move that clears nothing resets it.

Modes

Endless — random pieces, your all-time best is kept.
Daily — the pieces come from the date, so everyone playing on the same day gets the same sequence. Today's best is kept separately, and finishing the Daily board on consecutive days builds a streak. A new board starts at midnight.

No mouse or touch? Press Tab to reach a piece, Enter to pick it up, the arrow keys to move it over the board, Enter to drop it and Esc to put it back.

↶ undoes up to your last 30 moves. ◐ switches between light and dark. Best scores and the game in progress are saved in this browser only. Close the page mid-game and it picks up where you left off.

Challenge a friend

When a game ends, send your score with Share, WhatsApp or Copy. Your friend's link opens the game with your score shown as the target to beat; a Daily score opens the same Daily board. The card also shows your Daily streak and when the next board starts.
