Is Aegix free?
Both apps are free to install, and the scans, checks and fixes you start yourself stay free. On the phone that includes the scan, Scam Checker, App Lock and Photo Vault. Live protection is Premium and uses 10 points on each day it runs: on the phone (Web Shield, SMS Shield, Call Guard and more) new users get the first month free, then ₹49/month on Google Play. Aegix PC Security is free for now: its live protection never pauses and there is nothing to pay.
Which Windows versions does Aegix PC Security run on?
Windows 10 version 2004 or later, or Windows 11, on a 64-bit PC. It installs for your Windows user without admin rights and updates itself automatically. A Microsoft Store version is coming soon.
Why does Windows say "Windows protected your PC"?
The app is new and not yet code-signed, so Windows may warn you the first time. Click More info, check the app is AegixPCSecurity.exe, then click Run anyway. The download page explains it step by step.
Do I need both apps?
No. Use the phone app, the PC app or both. The PC app is free; the phone’s Premium covers the phone only. Aegix Link sends logins from the phone to the PC either way.
How do I earn more points?
In the phone app, tap Share or invite a friend. Your first share each day adds 10 points, and each friend who installs Aegix from your invite adds 100 points for you and 100 for them — 10 days of Premium each. Points have no cash value. How CryoSim points work.
Do I need an account, and are there ads?
No. Neither app needs an account, a sign-up or a phone-number OTP: install it and run your first scan straight away. Neither app shows ads, on the free tier or on Premium.
Is my data uploaded?
Scans run on your device. Text messages and call numbers are checked on the phone and never uploaded, and Scam Checker on the PC checks text on the PC. Passwords stay encrypted on your phone, and everything in the PC Vault stays encrypted on the PC; Aegix Link sends a login end-to-end encrypted, so the relay cannot read it. Only the checks you ask for, such as a breach lookup or the scam alert feed, go online.
Is there an iPhone app?
No, there is no iPhone app. Aegix is for Android phones and Windows PCs. On any device you can use the free web Scam Checker on this site.
