Name numerology chart and number meanings

The letter values the FlamesFun Name tab uses, how a name reduces to one number, and what each number 1–9 means here.

The letter chart

Write the alphabet in rows of nine: each letter takes the number of its column.

How to work out a name’s number

Turn each letter into its number from the chart. Ignore spaces and anything that is not a letter.
Add all the numbers together.
If the total has two or more digits, add those digits. Repeat until one digit, 1 to 9, is left.

Worked examples

Aarav: A=1 + A=1 + R=9 + A=1 + V=4 = 16 → 1+6 = 7

Diya: D=4 + I=9 + Y=7 + A=1 = 21 → 2+1 = 3

So Aarav is a 7 (thoughtful) and Diya is a 3 (expressive). The FLAMES tab also adds both names together for a “together” number.

Name numerology — questions

How do I find the numerology number of my name?

Give every letter its number from the chart (A=1 … I=9, then J starts again at 1), add them all up, and keep adding the digits of the total until one digit is left. That digit, 1 to 9, is the name’s number.

Which numerology system is this?

The letter values follow the common Pythagorean pattern — the alphabet laid out in rows of nine. Spaces, dots and other characters are ignored.

Do nicknames or spelling change the number?

Yes. The number comes only from the letters you type, so a different spelling or a nickname can give a different number. Try both in the Name tab.

Is name numerology scientific?

No. Numerology has no scientific basis, and the lucky colour and day here are FlamesFun’s own playful picks. Read it for fun, not for decisions.
