Every RISQ 3.2 question for dry cargo, referenced by its question number and broken down into the individual sub-checks behind it — so “is the vessel ready?” becomes a list you actually work through, not a wall of text to re-read.
Mark every question. A finding or observation takes a severity, the corrective action, an owner rank and a due date. All of them collect in one Findings list, filtered by overdue, severity, owner or section, with a CSV register and due dates for your calendar.
Take a photo or pick several from the gallery, straight on the question it proves, with an optional caption. Photos stay on the device.
Set the inspection date and the app shows the days left and how many questions a day you need to finish. The Inspection planner tracks every vessel’s next due date from its last inspection and your re-inspection cycle.
Built on the device: readiness by section and by rank, the inspection planner, the findings table with actions, owners and due dates, sign-off rows for the Master and superintendent, and a photo appendix. Download it or share it.
Pick a rank and the list narrows to that officer’s own checks — the Master, the Chief Officer, the engineers and the ratings each see their scope. Or walk the ship area by area: deck, engine room, bridge.

No. RightShip Pro is an independent preparation aid made by CryoSim. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by RightShip. It is built from the published RISQ 3.2 questionnaire, and every question links to the official PDF so you can check it against the current version.
Yes. Open it once while online and add it to your home screen (or use the Install button in the app). The app and all 550 questions are then cached on the device and open with no connection at all.
In the browser on the device you are using, and photos stay on that device. No account is needed. If you sign in, you can switch on the optional Back up and sync for a vessel; otherwise nothing you tick or type is uploaded. Clearing the browser data erases local progress, so save a copy of the vessel file or the report.
Set the vessel profile to solid bulk, bulk grain, general cargo, container, self-unloader or heavy lift, pick the fuel (oil, LNG, methanol or ammonia) and switch on gantry cranes, ice or STS operations if they apply. The app then shows only the RISQ 3.2 sections that apply to that ship.
Switch to By Rank and pick a rank: Master, Chief Officer, 2/O, 3/O, engineers, ETO, ratings or Company / Office. Each person sees only the questions and sub-checks filed under their rank, and completion rolls up from sub-check to question to section.
A PDF readiness report built on the device: a cover with overall readiness, an executive summary with findings by severity, readiness by RISQ 3.2 section and by rank, the findings and observations table with corrective action, owner and due date, sign-off rows for the Master and superintendent, and a photo appendix. Yes. The Inspection planner (under the vessel button) takes each vessel's last inspection date and your re-inspection cycle, 12 months unless you set another, and shows the next due date, the days left and a status for every vessel. Add the delivery year and month and it also shows when RightShip's inspection age trigger reaches the vessel and whether your cycle covers it up to then. It exports a CSV, and the vessel's planner rows are printed in its PDF report. It only counts calendar days; it does not predict any rating or outcome.
From 20 January 2027, RightShip requires a valid RightShip Inspection for dry bulk and general cargo vessels aged 10.5 years. RightShip revised this Phase 4 on 26 May 2026 (it had been 10 years from 1 January 2027) after industry feedback about conflicts with the second Special Survey dry docking. Phase 3 (11 years, from 1 July 2026) is unchanged. Age counts from the Date of Delivery, and vessels under 8,000 DWT are to undergo a similar inspection. A vessel without a valid inspection when it reaches the age, or on the phase date if already older, has its Safety Score downgraded to 2 out of 5. Mark each question OK, Finding, Observation or N/A. A finding or observation gets a severity (high, medium or low), what was found, the corrective action, an owner rank and a due date, plus photos taken on the spot. The Findings list filters them by open, overdue, severity, owner or section, and each one can be closed with a date.
