Getting started with RightShip Pro

Set the vessel profile once, then every rank works its own RISQ 3.2 sections on its own phone — online or at sea with no signal. Pick your rank for a one-screen start, or read the office guide.

Set up in five steps

  1. Open and install. Open RightShip Pro while you have signal and tap ⊕ Install when your browser offers it. After that it opens from its own icon with no connection.
  2. Name the vessel. Tap the 🚢 vessel button in the header, then + New vessel: name, IMO number (optional, check digit verified) and inspection date.
  3. Set the profile. ⚓ Profile: cargo type, fuel, and whether gantry cranes, ice or STS apply. Only the sections that apply are shown.
  4. Work your rank. By Rank shows each rank’s questions. Tick sub-checks, set ✓ OK, ⚑ Finding, ◔ Observation or ⊘ N/A, and add photos.
  5. Report. ⚑ Findings lists everything open; 📄 PDF builds the readiness report for the office, ⤓ Export a text copy.

Quick start by rank

One screen each. “Open my list” opens the app straight on that rank — send each officer their own link.

Master

Sections 1–4, 12, 15, 16

  1. Set the inspection date in the readiness panel: the app counts down and shows the daily pace needed.
  2. Choose Master under My rank — readiness, ◑ To-do and Continue then follow your own questions.
  3. Certificates, crew management, ISM, security and welfare are yours: tick each sub-check as you verify it.
  4. Before arrival, 📄 PDF › Whole vessel for the office, with the findings register and sign-off rows.

Chief Officer

Cargo, hatch covers, mooring, hull & more

  1. The largest share of the questionnaire: cargo operation, hatch covers and lifting gear, mooring, structure and hull.
  2. Set ⚓ Profile first (cargo type, gantry cranes, STS) so only the sections that apply to this ship are shown.
  3. Log what you find as ⚑ Finding or ◔ Observation with severity, corrective action, owner and due date.
  4. Add 📷 Take photo evidence to each finding — it prints in the PDF photo appendix.

  2. Tick each sub-check as you verify it on the bridge; a question is ready when every sub-check is ticked or it is marked ✓ OK.
  3. Use ✎ Note for where the record is kept, so the next officer finds it fast.

For the office: licences, members and vessels

How a company set-up works today. A ship does not need any of this to start — the app works with no account.

  1. The licence. A company licence is set up by CryoSim for your organisation: which app, how many vessels, and for how long. Ask for a pilot or a fleet quote.
  2. Vessels. CryoSim registers each vessel on the licence by name and IMO number (the IMO check digit is verified). One vessel uses one seat.
  3. Members. You send us the e-mail address of each person who should be on the licence. When that person signs in to cryosim.com with Google using that address, their account is bound to the seat once, for good. A password-only account is bound by us after we confirm it with you. To swap a person, tell us.
  4. Roles. CryoSim sets each member as office or crew. A crew member is assigned to one vessel (by its IMO number) on your licence.
  5. Sharing. On board, the officer who keeps the vessel ticks Share with my fleet for it in the Vessels sheet. Sharing is per vessel and stays off until its owner turns it on. Shared vessels are read-only for everyone else; photos are not shared.
  6. The fleet view. Office members see every shared vessel on the licence — readiness %, open findings, overdue actions, the next due date and the inspection date. Crew members see only the shared vessels with their own IMO number. Nobody outside your licence sees anything.
