Pair Match — a free card matching memory game
Pair Match is the classic concentration card game. Twelve face-down cards hide six pairs of pictures. Turn two at a time; a match stays face-up, a miss flips back. Clear the board in as few moves as you can.
It rewards holding many positions in mind at once and staying focused for the whole board.
How to play
- The board is 12 cards — 6 pairs — in 4 columns.
- Tap a card to turn it over, then tap a second card. That is one move.
- A matching pair stays face-up. Two different pictures turn back over after a moment.
- The game ends when all six pairs are found.
How the score works
Score = 60 − 2 × moves (never below 1), so fewer moves means a higher score. The best possible game — every pair found on the first try — is 6 moves, a score of 48.
What it trains
Concentration and working memory — remembering where each picture was.
Tips to score higher
- Turn over cards you have not seen yet before gambling on a half-remembered one.
- Give each picture a position label as you see it — "rocket, top-left".
- Work the board in a fixed order (row by row) so your memory has a map.
