Sequence — a free sequence memory game
Sequence is a follow-the-pattern game with four coloured pads. The pads light up one after another; when it is your turn, tap them back in the same order. Each round replays the whole sequence with one new step added.
Unlike Grid Memory, order is everything here — it trains sequential memory and sustained focus together.
How to play
- Watch: the pads light one at a time, a little over half a second apart.
- When the prompt says Your turn, tap the pads in the same order.
- Get the whole sequence right and it plays again with one extra step on the end.
- One wrong pad and the run ends.
How the score works
Your score is the longest sequence you repeated correctly.
What it trains
Sequential memory — keeping a series in the right order — and sustained attention.
Tips to score higher
- Name the colours in your head as they light — "blue, pink, pink, yellow" — the words are easier to hold than the flashes.
- Group the steps in threes or fours as the sequence grows.
- The sequence only ever grows at the end, so you only have one new step to learn each round.
