Shifting — point-to-point focus practice
Shifting is practice at moving your focus deliberately: pick one small spot on an object, move to the spot right next to it, and keep stepping across the object. Then switch to jumping between random spots — corners, centre, edges.
Real, detailed objects work best: a building across the street, a bookcase, a window frame. EyeFit's routines give it 3 minutes.

How to do it
Practise moving your focus from point to point across an object.
- Focus on one specific spot on an object in your environment.
- Shift focus to the nearest adjacent spot on the same object.
- Continue shifting from spot to nearby spot across the object.
- Then shift from random spot to random spot — far corners, centre, edges.
- Repeat on 3 different objects, then rest your eyes.
Tip: Use real objects — a house across the street, a bookcase, a window frame.
