Squeeze blinking exercise
Squeeze blinking is a firmer version of a blink: close your eyelids tightly for three seconds, open them wide, blink normally a few times, and repeat. Many people find it refreshing when their eyes feel dry after a long screen session.
The trick is to squeeze with the eyelids only, not the forehead or eyebrows. EyeFit's routines run it for 1 to 2 minutes.
How to do it
Firm, deliberate blinks — a refreshing break when eyes feel dry after screen time.
- Squeeze your eyelids closed tightly for 3 seconds.
- Open your eyes wide and do a few normal blinks.
- Squeeze your eyelids shut again for 3 seconds.
- Open your eyes and blink normally.
- Continue until your eyes feel moist and relaxed.
Tip: Try to isolate your eye muscles — do not scrunch your forehead or eyebrows.
